Boo wanted to fly :(
Yes my Boo wanted to fly. Off my drying table, I could cry. This was about 2 weeks ago and it does not look good.
I tried to catch him, I really did. All I think I did was slow him down. He knocked his kneecap out. Lovely. Luxating patella is the #1 problem with Chins closely followed by heart defects. His dr. tried twice to get it back in. Succeeded once but it came back out. Going to try tomorrow again but I am not to hopeful. He will need surgery. The thought of my baby going under the knife makes me very depressed

Leg problems are so hard to deal with and it's hard to know if surgery is the right option. Good luck and hopefully things will go smoothly for you

His dr. put it back in yesterday. I have not seen him limp but I was away for several hours and my son said that he did. I will wait a few more days and I will try to reposition it if it is out. I just need someone to hold him. I do know how to do it but am a bit apprehensive...

I am leaving shortly to take Boo for surgery, Please say a prayer for him. It is a 12 week healing time. How am I gonna keep him confined that long? I had to borrow the money from my daughter, I just don't have 2k sitting around.

Re: Boo wanted to fly :(
Surgery went well and he has been home for 24 hours. Boo really wants to move around alot more. I sectioned off an area by
my bed as I won't crate him. Well he found one small spot under the bed,
squeezed thru and came out from under my desk......I also have a pack
n' play I'm using. He really perked up since I brought him home. It is
very hard to restrict him as he cries to be with me but I must be
strong. I bought good quality canned food to mix all his meds in.
Pilling him by hand is not an option....He is doing much better.

Stitches come out Thursday. He is very bored, driving me nuts. Abby is getting a belly as there are no walks. She will not walk without Boo.

I told the dr. at his consultation about shaving the fur off. They were gonna shave partway up his back also since they do an epidural, but he said he saw a way. I have his fur in a bag. I had them save it. Was probably a first for them.

Aw poor thing He looks miserable..
I know what you mean about the hair tho. When Natalie got fixed they were kind enough to put the iV where the naked skin would not show.
But only after I asked if they could do that..

He did grow a little back. It is short but there. Stitches came out today so know I have to massage him every day. Nice. Someone massage me. Plus 3 more weeks of confinement. Then x rays to see how everything is looking.
Let me tell you.....he is going nuts. He escaped confinement today when I was at work. I am gonna weld the damn crate panels together. He wants freedom.

OMG he is driving me nuts. He is doing everything he isn't supposed to do and has become a Houdini. There is no stopping the great and mighty Boo.

I don't have much room here for one. He seems pretty agile actually. He goes for his xray tuesday so I will see how everything looks. He actually has lost weight and is pretty slim. Abby has gained weight so now it's reversed. I can't wait to get them walking again.
